Isle of Man, Peel.

Med den här solnedgången i Irländska Sjön säger jag farväl till
Isle of Man för den här gången. Men jag kommer tillbaka!
With this sunset I say good bye to Isle of Man for this time.
But I will be back!

Glen Tramman, Isle of Man.

Mycket fint att titta på under min promenad runt banan.
Här blommar fruktträden.
Much nice to see at my walk around the course. The fruit trees
are in blossom.

Ramsey, Isle of Man.

Jag har gått banan ett varv och det tog 3 dagar. Det är nästan 61 km.
Jättefint väder med bra sikt och på väg upp på berget är det fin utsikt
över Ramsey. Det är uppförsbacke i en mil så det var lite jobbigt men
absolut besväret!
I have walked the course one lap in three days. It is 37.73 miles. The
weather was fine and clear. At the 6 miles uphill from Ramsey there
is a nice view. A little strenuous but defenitely worth it.

Douglas, Isle of Man.

Peel, Isle of Man.

På påskdagen var det dop i havet trots att vattnet var kallt.
Biskopen var där och det kom mycket folk i det fina vädret.
At Easter Sunday ther was a baptize in the sea in the cold water.
The bishop was there and a lot of people came in the nice weather.

Peel, Isle of Man.

Peel ligger på västkusten av ön. Vi fick vara på gården till ett snickeri.
Vi har skruvat ihop en massa bord till uteserveringar på några pubbar.
Det gick bra! Jorka triumferar!

Peel is a small city at the west coast of the island. We have been in the yard
of a carpentry to put togeather some tables for outdoor use at some pubs.

Isle of Man.

Vid sidan av den berömda racerbanan är det vackert
så här års!
At the side of the road that is the famous race course
it’s very nice at this time of the year.

Peel.

Här är piren i Peel. Den skyddar mot de stora vågorna
som sveper in från väster och vattnet mellan Irland
och Isle of Man.
A large pier in Peel protects the harbour from the big
waves that are rolling in from the water between Ireland
and the Isle of Man.

Isle of Man.

I den lilla staden Peel på västkusten finns en berömd
glassfabrik. Den heter Davison's. Dom har massor av
sorter. Två kulor är nästan för mycket. De är mycket stora.
A small city at the west coast of Isle of Man is called Peel.
There is a famous factory for ice cream called Davison’s.
Big scoops and two of them are about too much!

Isle of Man.

En massa andra blommor också som vi inte förknippar
med vårblommor i Sverige. Men det är fint och luktar
gott.
Many other flowers as well that we don’t connect with
springtime in Sweden. It looks nice and smells fantastic!

Isle of Man.

I trädgården vid Villa Marina i Douglas blommar
påskliljorna för fullt. Det är väl pingstliljor också...
In the garden of Villa Marina in Douglas there are
a lot of flowers now. Daffodils for example and I
suppose white narcissus.

Jättetorsk. Gigant cod.

På pubben Queens Hotel i Douglas, Isle of Man serveras
jättetorsk. En rejäl bit som jag hoppas är fiskad på ett
vis som är vänligt för torskbeståndet i världen. Gott i
alla fall.
There’s a pub called Queens Hotel in Douglas, Isle of Man.
They serv good food and one dish is giant cod. It’s a really
big piece of fish and I hope that it’s caught in a way that is
OK with the global stipulations for fishing of cod. Very good
anyhow.

Storm på Nordsjön.

På väg till Isle of Man i Irländska Sjön.
Jag åkte med fraktfartyget Begonia från Göteborg till
Immingham. Det blåste ordentligt så alla trailers på
fördäck fick en rejäl dusch då och då. Resan tog 26 timmar.
I’m on a journey to Isle of Man. I’m travelling with a cargo ship
named Begonia from Gothenburg to Immingham. Hard winds
at the North Sea made the trailers on fore deck totally wet of
spray from the waves. The trip with Begonia took 26 hours.

Då isen bär så kan man ta en promenad på sjön.

When the ice is strong enough, you can have a walk
at the lake. View over the city with the churc in the middle.

Örebro Skebäck.

Jag skall bo vid de små fönstren högst uppe i det
vita huset. Det finns takfönster också.
I'll stay at the small windows on the top floor
in the white house. There is ceiling light as well.

Nora.

Nora.

Nora är en av de tre svenska trästaderna. De andra två är
Hjo och Eksjö. Staden är idag en blandning av 1700-talets
och 1800-talets sätt att bygga. I innerstaden är de låga mer
eller mindre kringbyggda 1700-tals gårdarna särskilt
värdefulla med tanke på att de numera är försvunna i
flertalet svenska städer.
Nora is one of the three Swedish wooden cities. The other two are
Hjo and Eksjo. The city today is a mix of the 18th and 19th centuries
way to build. In the inner city are the low, small houses more or less
surrounded by buildings, of a great value as they are gone now in
most Swedish cities.

I Nora domineras blickfånget av kyrkan med sitt massiva,
55 m höga torn. Den tidigare 1500-talskyrkan revs 1878
varefter den nuvarande uppfördes och invigdes 1880.
Kyrkobyggnaden, som ligger vid torget, är en representant
för den romanska byggnadsstilen.
In the middle of the city, at the square, is the church with its
60 yards high tower. The earlier church built in the 16th century
was demolished 1878 and the new one was inaugurated 1880.
The building represents the Romanesque style.
