Doug Seegers i Örebro!

Så kom han då till sist. Doug Seegers, gatumusikanten som slog igenom i Jills Veranda i SVT i våras. Han har varit på turné i Sverige sedan början av juni och nu blev det konserter tre dagar i rad i Stadsträdgården i Örebro. Då Örebro fick besök så passerade Doug och bandet, Widowmakers förstärkta med gitarristen Jerry Miller, 50 konserter sedan turnén startade. Förband var Ellen Sundberg tillsammans med Widowmakers och de kommer alla från Östersund. På bilden från vänster: Jerry Miller, Robin Lindqvist, Doug Seegers och Johan Arveli. Det var utsålt alla tre dagarna och det var god stämning runt scenen. Doug passade också på att spela lite på gatorna i Örebro, precis som hemma i Nashville alltså. Mycket populärt. Efter Örebro drar de vidare till Mariehamn på Åland och det är endast några få konserter kvar innan turnén är slut.

Doug Seegers kommer att spela på invigningen av musikfestivalen Live At Heart i Örebro den 3/9. Kanske tillsammans med Jill Johnson som samma kväll får ta emot det nyinstiftade priset Musikörat. Invigningen blir på Hjalmar Bergmanteatern i Örebro och festivalen pågår sedan till och med lördag 6/9.

At last Doug Seegers, the street musician from Nashville USA arrived in Orebro. He was discovered by the Swedish Television when he was playing his street music in Nashville earlier this year. The Swedes loved his story and his music and now he is on a tour in Sweden since the beginning of June. The three concerts in Orebro just passed the 50 together in the same tour and it's soon the end of the tour for this time.

All three concerts were sold out and Doug, and the band Widowmakers with Jerry Miller, made the audience feeling good all the three evenings. Doug took the opportunity to play some street music in Orebro city as well.

Doug Seegers will play at the opening concert of the music festival Live At Heart, Wednesday September 3rd as well. Maybe together with Swedish singer Jill Johnson who was a part of the team that found Doug on a pavement in Nashville. Jill will receive a new award, Musikorat, at the opening evening of Live At Heart. The festival goes on to Saturday September 6th.
